Event reportSTRASBOURG STATEMENT ON INTERFAITH COOPERATION AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE: 'TOGETHER FOR THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF RELIGION OR BELIEF AND HUMAN DIGNITY' We, the undersigned, affirm that in order to ensure peaceful coexistence we must protect: the right to freedom of religion or belief for everyone everywhere; human dignity for everyone everywhere. We, the undersigned, recognise that in order to protect the right to freedom of religion or belief for everyone everywhere and human dignity for everyone everywhere, we must work to strengthen interfaith cooperation, including: challenge narratives together that justify violence based on religion or belief; challenge harmful practices together that deny the right to freedom of religion or belief of some; respond together to acts of violence based on religion or belief whenever and wherever they occur; work together to prevent acts of violence based on religion or belief whenever and wherever they occur.
