“Europe in the best constitution?!”
Saxony is in the middle of Europe, but European issues often seem technocratic and distant. But Europe is not only taking place in Brussels and Strasbourg, but also here. Anchoring the European Union in the Constitution of the Free State would take account of the European reality of our political area. In the EU, we face major challenges that require change and transformation. We want to start the debate on necessary reforms in Saxony. Join the debate! What are the issues of concern to you? What reforms are needed? How should cross-border cooperation between Saxony and neighbouring regions in Poland and the Czech Republic be improved? How can the Green Deal succeed? Does the rule of law and understanding of democracy need to be strengthened within the EU? What does it mean for you to be an EU citizen? Our guests are: · Katja Meier, Minister of State for Justice, Democracy, Europe and Equality of Saxony· Prof. Dr. Armin von Bogdandy, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg It moderates Ralf Geißler from Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk.
