NEMESIS: Opening and Conciliation Conference
The event aims to raise awareness of national and ethnic minorities, discuss a new strategy after the failure of the European Citizens’ Initiative Minority SafePack signed by more than 1.100,000 people. A group of students from Łódź and Warsaw considered it extremely important to give voting rights to representatives of such minorities as: Lemkos, Russians, Karaims, Kashubia, Tatars, Armenians or Wilamovans. The first of the 4 planned debates raises the issue of citizens whose languages present in the UNESCO Red Book are considered to be seriously or even critically threatened. It is also necessary to understand what is troubling local communities to stop hate speech and online hate speech against a minority of Poles taken as emigrants. These groups will make it possible to assess the discourse between communities, their rights, existence and security. We will discuss the recent decision on the step towards the devastated cultural and landscape values of the south-east part of Poland in the village of Kruszyniany, where capitalism is more important than the values of the lands given to Jan III Sobieski. These and other issues will be addressed as part of a remote and stationary debate within the Conference on the Future of Europe, thanks to values close to the public library in Łódź at ul.Gdańska 8.

Event reportProtocol 1 of the 5th “Inaugurative and Conciliation Debate” The debate met with an orgomn confirmation of the legitimacy of the initiative as a whole by the invited leaders of national and ethnic minorities. Everyone agreed on the idea of appointing an EU Commissioner for the Integration and Existence of National and Ethnic Minorities, together with his department. During the discussions, an agreement was reached on the European patronage of artistic and musical events, as well as on language and artistic competitions. An important point is the reported need to create and define a single subsidy pool within the EU body (NEMESIS Institute), as the right to promote culture and maintain language is a priority for leaders and local communities. It happens that projects that are difficult in the description of a microgrant have the same, equal pools for both old and newly established non-governmental institutions, which for the more experienced ones can be unfair. Many organisations have a problem financing the whole project and the pandemic too often takes up savings to maintain the schedule of activities and events. The envelope for separate grants or situations is therefore advisable, especially for languages at risk of extinction appearing in the UNESCO Red Book, as is the case with Karaimski. I proposed my idea of a minority translator for communities whose young generation is more likely to use electronics, which is supposed to make it easier for parents to work on their children. Wikimedia Poland is interested in the idea for next year, we are looking for people who create similar ideas and alternatives. According to the facts presented during the current census, the Central Statistical Office gave the right to publish information or advertising in its language to national and ethnic minorities but expected to write the whole text. In some cases, after insertion on the official website of the Statistical Office, the file was deleted shortly afterwards without giving a reason. This is at least an unethical trend requiring reporting to the authorities of the European Union. As organisers, we ask you to recruit Officer Compliance to interfere with the case. In order to encourage young people to write national language baccalaureate, it is necessary to take into account the number of basic points as well as the language subject itself for future recruitment for the desired studies, thus promoting the desire to maintain the dialect in family use. It was also proposed that the mother tongue be a foreign language written on the final exam. Unfortunately, because of the so-called LGBT-free zones, many people do not admit to their national or ethnic affiliation as a result of fear/lack of freedom or a strong increase of dislike towards a given group for various reasons. Poles with a different culture or tradition are sometimes treated as a foreign body, there is no will to help and the problem is growing which is tiring for these people and causes many people to close themselves as the ethnic minority of Lemko or Wilamowian has been affected. To identify among young people new leaders and potential talents in the fight against the preservation of national-ethnic heritage, a chapter and a statuette for a national competition called “Olympics of Identity” will be developed and implemented. In the course of further debates, another undertaking of international scope away from populism and a high level of education on democracy is also considered as a key aspect. The compliance of minority leaders is to find inactive people with enormous potential to target hidden energy. During the event, a delegation representing the Belarusian and Ukrainian communities in the city of Łódź also arrived as an audience. As President, I pledged to help leaders raise urgent needs because as a group of students we have been working socially for almost two years. We debated the blocking of the idea of sending a humanitarian convoy to the Donnetsk and Lugansk Oblasts from the civic budget by law prohibiting the spending of the city’s funds outside its zone. I asked the leaders to select a group for the local digital weekly “Gogol” because as a young man I want to create a youth magazine “Kronika” reducing the cost of paper and try to stimulate youth’s creativity by offering them an interesting topic to write. At the next consultations of the city with residents we plan to propose possible theatre performances in Ukrainian or cinema screenings in Belarusian once a month. Depending on the pandemic restrictions, the common idea was to plan a pilot guided tour in a given language, taking into account the possible historical background of the minority group concerned. We have taken into account the extension of the offer of the network of urban libraries to the language and themes of such groups, thus embracing the culture and the sense of support of the local environment affected. Many were surprised by the fact that only 5 % of people using Belarusian language at home and abroad in relation to Russian. He thus joined the candidates for a possible minority translator. After informing the Ombudsman of the past intervention on discrimination against blind persons in the population census, the entire network of public libraries in boats has shown solidarity in the initiative to increase the resources of the branch in Braille’s letter to the city in order to combat social exclusion. Protocol 1 of 5: “Inauguration and Conciliation Debate” The debate met with a huge was confirmation of the rightness of the entire initiative from the side of the invited leaders of national and ethnic minorities in Poland. Everyone agreed on the idea of appointing an EU Commissioner for the Integration and Existence of National and Ethnic Minorities, together with the department reporting to him. In the course of the discussion, all leaders were agreed on the European patronage of art and music events, as well as language and art competitions. An important point is the need to consult an updated and defined one subsidy pool in the country within the “NEMESIS” project. The right to promote culture and maintain language is a priority for leaders and local communities. It happens that projects that are difficult to describe on micro-grants have identical equal pools for old and newly established non-governmental institutions, which for the more experienced ones is sometimes unfair. Many organisations have a huge problem with financing all of their projects. There are situations of discrepancy between the deadline for implementation and the receipt of funds for their implementation. The result is a return of funds and the use of modest capital reserves during a pandemic to maintain its schedule of activities and events. The pool for separate grants emergency situations is or therefore recommended, especially for minorities using critically endangered language (UNESCO red book), as is the case with the Karaim language. I proposed my idea of a web translator for minorities into a community where the younger generation eagerly uses electronics, which is supposed to facilitate the work of parents on their children. Wikimedia Group in Poland is interested in the idea for next year, we are looking for people who create similar ideas. According to the presented facts, during the present census of the population, the Central Statistical Office gave the right to publish information or advertisements in its language to national and ethnic minorities, but it expected the entire text to be written. In some cases, after uploading to the official CSO website, the files were deleted shortly afterward for ideological reasons. This is at least an unethical trend that requires reporting to the Council of the European Union. As organisers, please recruit a Compliance Officer to interfere in the case. In order to encourage young people to write high school diplomas in the national language, it is necessary to take into account the number of points at the basic level and the language subject itself for their dream studies. This promotes the desire to keep the dialect in family use. There is also a proposal that the mother tongue should be a foreign language written on the matriculation examination. Unfortunately, by the so-called LGBT-free zones, many people don't admit that they belong to a national or ethnic minority as a result of fear/lack of feeling free or increased aversion to other communities. As a result, it will result in an inaccurance estimation of the number of minorities in the country and the pool of potential funds for their integration. Groups with little known culture or tradition in Poland are sometimes treated as a foreign body, there is no will to help, and the problem grows, which is tiring for these people. It also causes many people to close themselves, as was the case with the ethnic minority of Lemkos or Wilamowians. We could find new leaders and hidden talents among young people, to maintain the national and ethnic heritage. The chapter of the competition and a statuette will be proposed and created within “Olympics of Identify”. It is possible that in the course of further debates another project of an International scale is also considered, for example: Away from populism at a high democratic education level- the most important aspects. The compliance of group leaders is to find inactive people with enormous potential, requiring the targeting of hidden energy. During the event, the audience included a minority representing the Belarusian and Ukrainian communities in the city of Łódź. As the Chairman, I pledged to help the leaders report their urgent needs because together with a group of students we have been working in society for 2 years. We debated the idea of sending a humanitarian convoy to the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts from the civic budget by the law prohibiting the spending of city funds outside its zone. I asked the leaders to select a group for the local digital weekly “Gogol” because as a young person I would like to create a youth magazine “Chronicle” and try to stimulate the creativity of young people by offering them an interesting topic to write. During the next consultations between the city and its inhabitants, we plan to propose possible theatre performances in Ukrainian or cinema SCREENINGS, e.g. in Belarusian, once a month. Depending on the pandemic constraints, common idea was to plan a pilot guided tour in a given language, taking into account the possible historical background of the minorities group. We took into account extending the offer of the network of city libraries to include the language and topics of such groups, thus strengthening the culture and the sense of support of the local community they influence. Many were surprised by the fact that only 5 % of people using the Belarusian language in this country and abroad are, compared to the Russian language. Thus, he joined the candidates of a possible minority translator. After informing about the past intervention of the Ombudsman in the case of discrimination against blind people in the census, the entire network of public libraries in Łódź showed solidarity in the initiative notified to the city to increase the resources of the branch by books published in Braille to counter social exclusion. Information for the European Citizens’ Assembly in September: My fellow Friends from Europe, I'm doing my best to listen to the voices of many minority leaders. My project is a response to the collapse of the Minority SafePack Initiative signed by 1,123,422 people from a total of 28 countries. I'm asking you not to be Indifferent, please discuss together and raise a very important topic for us, the young generation of Europe. The future belongs to all of us.
