Forbidden Colours: Financial Resilience for LGBTI-organisations

The COVID-19 pandemic has put LGBTI-organisations under pressure all over Europe. Philanthropist withdrew their grants. Ultraconservative governments became even more hostile towards LGBTI-persons.
At the same time, the European Commission announced their LGBTIQ Equality Strategy, a document pledging to "provide funding to foster a conducive, sustainable environment for LGBTIQ civil society organisations". Civil society organisations in the member states have criticised this promise. They often don't have the right know-how, nor capacity, to apply for these funds.
Rémy Bonny will discuss these issues with Viktória Radványi (board member of Budapest Pride). Hungarian LGBTI-organisations have been adapting to a hostile environment since 2010.
This event is organised by Forbidden Colours vzw/asbl in the context of the 'Conference on the Future of Europe' initiative by the European Union, and is registered as such. Viewers are able to ask questions during the webinar in the respective comment section.
