Workshop "Europe and Peace: make your voices heard!
This workshop is part of a series of workshops that will take place throughout the Normandy region as part of the Collective Normands and Europeans. The aim is to gather the ideas of the participants so that the European Union can mitigate threats to peace on its territory and in the world. The support used will be the Normandy Index, the result of a collaboration between the European Parliament, its research department, the Normandy region and the Institute for Economics and Peace. The 2021 edition was presented at the Normandy World Peace Forum in Caen, France, in October. The 11 threats studied in the Index will be the basis for discussions and the issuance of ideas. The European Pillar of Social Rights will also be one of the supports of the workshop as the Normandy Index addresses Peace from the perspective of a state’s ability to propose an equal society, protect the fundamental rights of its citizens and provide them with a reliable, sustainable and secure environment.
