Yours, mine, our Europe
What does Europe mean to you, to me, to us? How do you, me, experience Europe in our daily lives? What are your, my, our rights and freedoms in Europe, where can we live, work or study? How far should the implementation of the Commission’s six European priorities change your, my, our Europe? An analysis of the effectiveness of shaping Europeans and Europeans who are actively identified with Europe allows us to recognise that inspiring and engaging debates on the future of Europe require an unhurried exchange of views in direct talks between citizens and experts of ideas and practices of the European integration process. The need for a Europeanisation of attitudes requires the repetition and continuity of European participation in the process of integration and the creation of a cooperative environment for the future of Europe. The need for joint, long-term action by the EU institutions for the future of Europe clearly identified in the opening speech Cofe, Urszula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, "All our policies must be about people first and foremost. That is why I would like all Europeans to take an active part in the Conference on the Future of Europe and to play a leading role in defining the priorities of the European Union. We can only build the future of the Union by acting together.” Reaching out to as many Europeans and Europeans as possible about the future is a unique role for European civil society organisations. Considering and understanding the importance of local cooperation shaping pro-European attitudes, Europe Direct Ostrołęka organises a three-day session of participatory workshops for a group of residents of Ostrołęka and its surroundings, people of all ages. The participants will have the opportunity to continue working with the distinguished experts of Team Europe, Mr Jan Truszczyński, Piotr Maciej Kaczyński and Rafał Kuligowski. The aim of the session is to develop recommendations for the future as much European as possible at local level. The workshop will also be a special preparation for the participation of the Ostroleka delegation in the European Youth Events (EYE). The workshop sessions will take place offline, while fully respecting the existing sanitary rules related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
