The policies which define what kind of migrants enter the EU are broken and directly damage the interests of EU citizens, in areas such as security: Migrants disproportionately commit violent crimes, refugees in Germany commit over 10% of violent crimes while constituting <2% of the total population, financial security: predatory employers are now able to prey on migrant labour who're less likely to complain about poor working conditions and will work for far less than native EU citizens, and Taxation: huge amounts of public money are diverted to dealing with criminal migrants, housing migrants until they gain autonomy, feeding migrants who have children despite their financial dependency on the state, and training migrants who do not have the skills to contribute to the EU economy, cultural disintegration: multiculturalism has be correlated with the decline in societal cohesion/trust, https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/briefings/immigration-diversity-and-social-cohesion/.
I think it is rather pointless to respond to unsubstantiated facts. I do not therefore do so. What I would like to respond is the idea that migration for work is an obstacle to European citizens. Most of the work movement takes place within the EU. It is true that this happens often in bad conditions against low payment, but this is not an issue from outside to the EU. This is a problem within the EU, separate from the issue of immigration. This must certainly be done, in my view starting with an acceptable minimum wage throughout the European Union. I am sacrificing the issue of social cohesion, but I always wonder why the next option is often not helping people who otherwise shot, persecuted or tortured. Rather than let us talk again with people who have a different background. Let’s encourage each other and not get down. In the end, we are taking a step closer to that.
