Sharing asylum seekers fairly would be the easiest solution. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
No, it’s not a solution, because you don‘t fix the problem, you’re just hiding it. Only by building walls and trenches and arming our border guards can we expose you to this threat.
We need both: Locally managed immigration according to capacity and readiness, as well as UN or EU-mandated shelters outside Europe, which must then have decent standards.
.. and in addition, we need a humane European border regime based on law and law.
as you can see at the moment, however, this does not work because perceptions and attitudes are very different nationally. That is why we need new concepts.
Why should an asylum seeker be redistributed “fairly”? Shouldn't the procedure be completed first?
