Reconciliation: the real and the ideal
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES. The assistant attentive to the day, at the conclusion of the same, must have acquired the following skills and assimilated the following contents: Knowledge of legislation and policies on equality and reconciliation in the family in the various forms of professional practice (public and private, both self-employed and employed). Analyse and determine whether practical differences between men and women persist in the professional practice of physicians, with examples of the case studies that may exist in this regard. Determine the incidence of pregnancy, motherhood and lactation in the remuneration aspects of the doctor. Discern whether gender can act as determinant of pay differences and their foundation. Familiarise yourself with the different options for adapting the work situation and flexible working hours depending on family circumstances. Know the doctrine and case law with an updated review. Differentiate the current situation of women doctors in Extremadura from other members of the Autonomous Communities in the area under study. Understand and assess the practical impact of positive discrimination actions.
