The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EUPF), to be held from 1 January 2022, will be an opportunity for our country to put on the Council’s agenda some of its political priorities for the European Union, in connection with the major European issues. Population ageing has been identified as such by the European Commission in its Green Paper on Ageing. The rise in the age of the population is a reality that Member States and the European Union need to take to find appropriate and effective responses. To work towards the promotion of well-being and to request its inclusion in the agenda of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (PFEU) is part of the construction of this European social project. It is in this context that Mrs Annie Vidal and Mr Paul Christophe are sponsoring the event "Well-Old: an ambition for the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union" on 15 September at the National Assembly and online, from 13:30 to 15:00.
