Dicho evento está orientado a informar a nuestros jóvenes sobre las acciones que el Parlamento Europeo está llevando a cabo en materia de medioambiente, así como a promocionar la participación juvenil en cuanto al aporte de ideas, sugerencias, opiniones… que serán trasladadas a la Conferencia sobre el Futuro de Europa, #CoFoE
El evento tiene por título: “Por una Europa sostenible” y en él se explicará en primer lugar, qué es la Conferencia sobre el Futuro de Europa y por qué es importante que los jóvenes participen en este tipo de acciones abiertas a la ciudadanía; se relacionará la temática del evento con el proyecto Erasmus+ sobre sostenibilidad que se está llevando a cabo en el instituto; se hará una reflexión sobre cómo Europa aborda los temas relacionados con el medio ambiente, el cambio climático y la sostenibilidad y por último, se entregarán los premios del concurso de fotografía que se está llevando a cabo con una alta participación.

Event reportThe event "For a sustainable Europe" took place on November 18th, 2021 between 5 and 6:30 p.m. in the assembly hall of the secondary education institute: Juan de la Cierva y Codorníu de Totana (Murcia, Spain), respecting the safety regulations against COVID 19 at all times. Around 60 young people between 14 and 17 years old and other attendees interested in the theme of the event attended. It was an informative talk on the actions that the European Union is carrying out in terms of the environment. In that talk, the ambassador for Europe's future and host of the event: María José García, made the presentation of the event, as well as a summary of the work that the European Union carries out to curb climate change and its consequences. They participated as speakers and guests in the event: The headmaster of the secondary school: Juan Francisco Otálora, welcoming the students and other attendees. The teacher, eTwinner and coordinator of its Erasmus+ Projects, among which are several related to the theme of the event: Cecilia Aznar. The MEP, Professor of Political Science and Administration and Doctor of Law: Pilar del Castillo, who sent a video highlighting the importance of youth becoming aware of their involvement and participation in curbing climate change. The MEP, doctor of architecture and professor of urban planning at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena: Marcos Ros, who through a live video conference, clearly explained Europe's position on the environment and the actions that are being carried out: the Pact Green or the circular economy, among others. The president of the Autonomous Council of the European Movement in the Region of Murcia: Teresa Allepuz, who through videoconference explained to the young attendees the possibilities that Europe offers them in terms of studies, volunteering, scholarships... With the information they had just received and their knowledge on the subject, the young people attending the event now had to make their own contributions on a Padlet wall created for this purpose: opinions, suggestions, proposals, complaints... in order to adequately transfer them to the Conference on the Future of Europe gid://decidim-dife/Decidim::Hashtag/72/CoFoE, for which they were given a week, since they would do it in class with their teachers, who were very involved in the event. A team of volunteer teachers from the institute gathered together with the coordinator of the event, as a jury, and the decision was made in the days before the event, so that at the end of it, the prizes of the contest were awarded, obtained from donations from local businesses. To finish, at the end of the talk, there were snacks and drinks for those attending the event (respecting hygiene and safety regulations due to the pandemic situation).
