Meeting “A route from Italy for Europe — The Manifesto of Assisi” — Cycle of meetings “The Green Deal is us”
The event “A route from Italy for Europe — The Manifesto of Assisi”, part of the series of meetings “The Green Deal we are us” — “Tools for an environmental culture” aims to put in communication the current climate crisis with Christian religious precepts, thanks to the contribution of the Encyclical Laudato Sì of Pope Francis. The event was realised thanks to the collaboration with Shylock CUT Centro Universitario Teatrale of Venice, with religious organisations of the territory and Assisi. He will be present at the event Father Enzo Fortunato of the Sacred Convent of Assisi. Current and important topics such as the circular and sustainable economy in a global key will be discussed during the event. The challenge of the climate crisis can therefore be an opportunity to put Italy on the move in the name of a common and better future. Thursday, October 28 at the Teatro dei Frari in Venice was held the meeting “A route from Italy for Europe — The Manifesto of Assisi” part of the series of meetings “The Green Deal we are”, organised by Europe Direct Venice Veneto of the Municipality of Venice in collaboration with Shylock CUT, University Center Theatre. The event was attended by religious organisations of the territory, Father Enzo Fortunato, from the Sacred Convent of Assisi and Ermete Realacci, President of the Symbolia Foundation. The meeting focused on the link between solutions to the present climate crisis and Christian precepts. It was discussed in depth on the “Manifesto of Assisi”, a document written by several promoters, including Ermete Realacci and Father Enzo Fortunato, which aims to create a human-friendly economy against the pandemic and the climate crisis. The document underlines the link between the Manifesto and the encyclical Laudato Sì of Pope Francis.Related Ideas
