#TheFutureIsYours Education, culture, youth and sport in Europe
Performing Europe — Changing Europe
The Education University of Carinthia (PHK) and the Polis Centre organise an online event on the Future of Europe as part of the Action Days on Political Education. Experts will address the challenges the EU will face: Coronavirus crisis, Brexit, climate change, migration policy et cetera. Current and future perspectives will be discussed and European policy offers for schools presented. With the technical support of EUROPE DIRECT Carinthia, PHK students are preparing interactive contributions (video clips, presentations, etc.) on the issues of the future, such as the Green Deal, European solidarity, in about 14 working groups, in advance of “United States of Europe”, agricultural policy or a new EU crisis management. Students are also reflecting on how to teach the EU to their pupils or peers in an age-appropriate way. Presentation by: Martin Selmayr (representative of the European Commission in Austria), Hannah Sattlecker (European Youth Delegation), Johannes Maier (Head of EU Coordination Carinthia), Markus Plasencia and Konrad Fellerer (Panthersie for Europe) The students’ contributions (video clips, etc.) (if agreed to be published) will subsequently be published on the homepage by the Europe House of Klagenfurt (partner of Europe Direct Kärnten).
