Citizen workshop: What would it take to change for you to like your job?

In the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe, next 28 September at 11:00 in Santander, will be held the Citizen Workshop "What would it take to change so that you liked your work? “moderated by Eva Rimbau Gilabert, Associate Professor of Human Resources and Organisation of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. The workshop is part of the event “Dialogue on the Future of Work”, part of the Dialogues on the Future, a joint initiative of the Government of Spain, the Representation of the European Commission in Spain and the European Parliament Office in Spain. People interested in participating in the workshop in person will be able to do so by registering or logging into the platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe and subsequently clicking on “Join the Event” to register. Event report
The event was part of the Dialogues on the Future, a joint initiative of the Government of Spain, the Representation of the European Commission in Spain and the European Parliament Office in Spain. It consisted of a citizen workshop in hybrid format in which participants had the opportunity to present their proposals and interact with each other through their live interventions, comments on YouTube and online surveys through the Slido platform. 36 people participated in the event (25 people face-to-face and 11 people online). 50 % were women. Participants included students, recent graduates, education workers and young entrepreneurs. These are some of the topics addressed during the Citizen Workshop: What is our current satisfaction with working conditions? What factors would have a positive impact on our job satisfaction? What do the best companies do to increase the satisfaction of their workers? What can the government and the European Union do to make our work more enjoyable? In response, participants made the following proposals: 1- Public administrations should establish a regulatory framework that is more conducive to entrepreneurship; 2- The European Union should achieve equality in working conditions between countries; 3- Public administrations should promote the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in particular; 4- Public administrations should facilitate work reconciliation through flexible working hours. 5- The European Union should regulate teleworking and guarantee the right to disconnectRelated Ideas
