{"body":{"en":"More and more jobs are being automated causing some people to fear for their job security. Not only is this bad for people, it's bad for society as a whole as it makes people scared of changes which are overall beneficial. Automation also allows more wealth to be generated faster and cheaper. I happen to think we should all be able to enjoy that increased wealth generation not just through lower prices but more directly as well. Enter the automation-based UBI.\n\nBasically, you would have a law that says that companies must pay every \"robot\" (the term being used in a broad way to refer to various types of automation) or every AI (again, used broadly for purely non-physical types of automation) a salary of sorts. This salary would be paid into a sort of \"common fund.\" The money from this common fund would then be distributed equally to all EU citizens over the age of 18 every month or potentially every year if that was more practical in the form of a UBI.\n\nIt would scale automatically with the amount of automation (and the increased wealth that brings) as a result and could help reduce people's fear of automation by allowing them to directly benefit from it."},"title":{"en":"Automation-based UBI"}}
