European Pillar of Social Rights for a social market economy

Implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) and link the achievement of the Rights in the Pillar with the Treaty objective of the European Union as a “social market economy, aiming at full employment and social progress”. The aim is to ensure the consistency of EU policies and initiatives with that objective, including by a potential inclusion of the Pillar in the Treaties. The fleshing out of the concept of the social market economy with a reinforcement of the role of the Pillar would also work to ensure a proper rebalancing of the existing EU economic governance instruments, including the Two Pack, Six Pack and Fiscal Compact.

L-Ewropa li Nixtieq - 3: Il-Futur tax-Xogħol fl-Unjoni Ewropea għal Soċjetà iktar Ġusta
14 outubro 2021
17:00 - 18:30
It-trasformazzjoni ekoloġika u diġitali fl-Unjoni Ewropea tiddependi ħafna fuq it-tibdiliet u t-trasformazzjoni meħtieġa fis-suq tax-xogħol. Waqt li l-Ewropa hi fost l-aktar soċjetajiet ugwali fid-dinja, bl-ogħla standards fil-kundizzjonijiet tax-xogħol, u bi protezzjoni soċjali wiesgħa, dejjem jibqa’ kwistjonijiet u oqsma li jridu jiġu indirizzati. Fost dawn insibu l-implikazzjonijiet, il-kundizzjonijiet tal-impjiegi, il-bżonn ta’ iktar taħriġ u taħriġ f’ħiliet ġodda, iktar għarfien dwar il-bilanċ bejn il-ħajja u x-xogħol, l-ugwaljanza, u aktar ħidma biex kull ħaddiem jaħdem fi swieq li joffru impjiegi bi ħlas xieraq għal livell ta' għajxien deċenti u ta’ kwalità.
L-għan aħħari ta’ dan kollu hu li, waqt li l-ħaddiema jkollhom il-ħiliet meħtieġa, is-suq tax-xogħol ikompli jikber fl-innovazzjoni u l-kwalità li jiggarantixxu protezzjoni soċjali kemm għaihom, għall-familji tagħhom u l-bqija tas-soċjetà. B’hekk titnaqqas ir-rata ta’ nies li qegħdin f’riskju ta’ faqar jew esklużjoni soċjali. B’hekk ikun żgurat li t-tranżizzjoni ekoloġika u diġitali ssir f’kuntest fejn l-impjiegi, il-ħiliet, l-innovazzjoni u l-protezzjoni soċjali, jimxu id f’id, kemm għal dawk li huma fid-dinja tax-xogħol u kemm għal dawk li mhumiex.
Dawn it-temi huma fl-aħħar mill-aħħar is-sisien li fuqhom hu mibni l-Pilastru Ewropew tad-Drittijiet Soċjali, imfassal fuq għoxrin prinċipju differenti, maħsuba biex ikollna Unjoni Ewropea aktar ġusta u inklussiva.
Il-laqgħa, li se titmexxa mill-ġurnalist ta’ TVM, Mario Xuereb, se tikkonsisti f’interventi minn numru ta’ persuni involuti f’diversi setturi u f’interventi minn dawk li jissieħbu onlajn.
