Gang criminality and Sweden from a European Perspective
In this lecture, Jerzy Sarnecki will discuss: the Development of lethal violence in Sweden and in comparable countries. Changes in the structure and organization of Swedish gangs. Development of lethal violence and immigration. Measures against gangs and violence within gangs.
Jerzy Sarnecki is Professor Emeritus of General Criminology at Stockholm University. He currently works at the University of Gävle, Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall and the Institute for Future Studies in Stockholm. He also teaches at the police training at Södertörn University. He is co-chairman of the jury for the Stockholm Prize in Criminology
