Citizens’ Dialogue on the Future of Europe in Baden-Württemberg — Working Group Positioning the EU in World Policy
The state of Baden-Württemberg, together with six municipalities, organises a citizens’ dialogue with 60 to 80 randomly selected citizens, the so-called random citizens. The randomly selected citizens will discuss on two days in which future they want to live and how this idea can be implemented. A future workshop will discuss the question of a common vision for the future for Europe. The first event looks at the current coexistence in Europe. In the next step, wishes and objectives for improvement are derived. In a second event, ideas from a life- and desirable society will be created from this. It addresses the question of what measures are needed to shape Europe according to the needs and wishes of the population. The aim is to translate citizens’ ideas into concrete visions of the future.
