The planned meeting-debate with the Marijampoleans on the future of the European Union. Today, Europe-wide focus is not only on the fight against the pandemic, on the economic recovery and on our lives after the pandemic, but also on the values of democracy both within the European Union (EU) and in its neighbourhood. The best time to find long-term solutions for Europe’s future is now. What will the future of the European Union be? Green and digital? Resilient and democratic? What future does politicians, public figures, experts, citizens see? The students of the Faculty of Political Discussion will discuss the myths that capture the EU and discuss the most pressing and painful issues related to the EU. Laimutė Pilukaitė, Head of Policy Analysis and Review Group at the Representation of the European Commission in Lithuania, will meet with the audience and provide insights on current issues.
