Event report
Relaunch, power, affiliation — these are the ideas of the French Presidency of the European Council, due from January. Clément Beaune, French Secretary of State for European Affairs, spoke at the National University of Public Service about the plans of his country’s six-month term of office, as he said: to solve the multiple crises affecting the continent, we need a new, collaborative European model that will guarantee recovery. The large number of students attending the event “The future of Europe with the French eye” indicates that there is a great deal of interest in the affairs of the European Union and the position of France, said Gergely Prőhle, Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the NKE on behalf of the organisers. “France is the decisive force of the European Union”, said András Koltay, rector of the NKE. He spoke about the relationship with the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA), the French public service elite university, which is a top priority in the construction of the international relations of the NKE. The European Union is an integral part of the university’s life, and there are a number of training courses in the community and thinking about it. The Rector has made faith in a Europe of solid values and a common culture, as well as European quality, which ensures peace and prosperity.
