An adapted and united Europe for a united world - can Europe help to Reform the UN?
Throughout history, parliaments were created, where associations could not help, to better administer and address, efficiently and effectively, society problems, proportional to their size and regions. Today our problems became bigger and bigger at a global and space level, and with this, where can these problems be effectively and efficiently resolved with answer at scale? The only platform close to help on this worldwide is the UN.
The difficulty in the evolution of political sovereignty from the family to all mankind, lies in the inertia-resistance exhibited on all intervening levels. Each new and forward evolution of political sovereignty is (and has always been) embarrassed and hampered by the “scaffolding stages” of the previous developments in political organization. And this is true because human loyalties, once mobilized, are hard to change. The same loyalty (patriotism) which makes possible the evolution of the territorial state, vastly complicates the evolutionary development of a governing body that serves the countries and all mankind.
In this sense, if leaders and people prefer, they could always propose their terms or keep countries' internal affairs only to the countries, but could the nations and people of the world, rise up and take a first step, in creating a United Nations Parliament or partial parliament. Can Europe push to establish the first talks? We must negotiate these ideas/ideals with all countries to benefit all...
Event report
Participants were united in the idea that the United Nations need reform, with help of the EU, and the UN also to become an emerging world citizenship platform, the EU can be a force for change in that direction and negotiate an attractively multilateralism with all parts worldwide. Improved regulation/law and cooperation is necessary in different areas like cybersecurity, outer space affairs, global corporations, terrorism , climate change and more, we must become members of a world civilization that is prosper in love, support, and resources in an international dynamic wheel of help, inclusion and service. Each citizen of the world should be able to be heard in a reformed UN that can act on each citizen’s country. A reformed UN must negotiate to agree on new convention universal rights for the sovereignty of nations and people. UN model and non-democratic countries are still a challenge. European External Action Service and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will need to have more focused capabilities/powers from the European Parliament and more support to the EU countries/states to follow-upon the EEAS actions. The EEAS much take more from its engine capabilities. Leadership by example is also imperative. The spirit of freedom and truth that emerged the European Union could it be a beacon of light for a spirit of union for the United Nations of the World? www.worldpeacetoall.orgRelated Ideas
