An expert video conference was held on 17 November in Sarajevo with the participation of the Directorate for European Integration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The aim of the event was to assist the EU integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina by sharing the Hungarian practice of the European Union policy coordination with the Bosnian side in the frame of a high-level forum.

14 Hungarian experts gave a deep insight into the practice of European Union policy coordination in Hungary including topics such as the procedure regarding the transposition of EU directives into national law, the role of the National Assembly of Hungary in the process of drafting laws and harmonisation them with EU Law, etc. Among other high-level experts dr. Oszkár Ökrös, State Secretary for EU Affairs, Ministry of Justice, dr. Judit Csengery, Head of Infringement Unit, Department of EU Law Compliance, Anita Fejér, Head of Unit, Department for EU Coordination, László Sinka, Head of EU Enlargement and Pre-Accession Department, Ministry and Iván Gyurcsík, Ambassador, EU-Integration Adviser participated in the video conference. Edin Dilberovic, the Director of the Directorate for European Integration (DEI) underlined that the European integration is the priority of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the legal harmonization and institutional coordination are crucial part of the process. László Sinka, the Head of EU Enlargement and Pre-Accession Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, expressed the Hungarian approach to the EU accession of the Western Balkan countries and the political copntext of the EU enlargement policy. The DEI delivered a comprehensive presentation on Bosnia Herzegovina in the EU integration process regarding the challenges, the current situation and the legal and the institutional set-up in process of legal alignment. István Gyurcsík, Ambassador, EU-Integration Advisor drew attention to the possibilities of further cooperation on expert level in the field of EU integration which was warmly welcomed by the Bosnian colleagues.Related Ideas
