Event report available
OMG, the organiser of the meeting of associations from central Croatia, believes that it is important to make our discussions, ideas and visions available to the general public and to try to influence the planning processes in the EU. Therefore, we organise three regional online meetings for associations from eastern, central and coastal Croatia. In central Croatia, we defined the following topics: • the importance, sustainability and role of civil society in community development at local, regional, national and EU level — what support is needed for civil society; • the rule of law, (non-)functioning of legislation, protection of human rights; • epidemiological measures against COVID and the consequent passivation of young people. Following the discussions, we will prepare a document to be uploaded to the Conference on the Future of Europe platform (http://futureu.europa.eu/?locale=hr) and forward it in various other ways. The online meeting will be public and the topic covered by the Conference platform will be the importance, sustainability and role of civil society in community development at local, regional, national and EU level — what support is needed for civil society. Agenda foreseen: 1. Introduction — presentation of facilitators and facilitators, establishment of operating rules, solving technical issues — 10 minutes 2. About the Conference on the Future of Europe — why, how, meaning, potential benefits for all of us — 15 minutes 3. Presentation of topics and schedule in groups — 15 minutes 4. Working in thematic groups — 100 minutes (including a break of 20 minutes) 5. Group report — 30 minutes 6. Completion — 10 minutes. As an initial inspiration for thinking about civil society in Croatia in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe, check out our short videos at the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L9cK3BN0sw&list=PL7hiBT10la3ixluLoY8npe8wfN7zRjZE1&index=3
