ELIAMEP organized the 1st Citizens’ Forum, in the context of the “From Alternative Narratives to Citizens True EU Stories – FACTS” project. Twenty five mobilized and non-mobilized citizens participated in the Forum who, with the guidance of researchers, expressed their thoughts and views on the traditional narratives of European peace and prosperity that comprise the “raison d’être” for the European Union. The aim of this Forum was to identify false narratives or fake news on issues related to the European Union.

During this first Citizens’ Forum, participants reached common concerns and proposals that, in the next phase of the project, they will have the chance to discuss with members of national and European parliaments.

Tο ΕΛΙΑΜΕΠ πραγματοποίησε την 1η Διαβούλευση Πολιτών στo πλαίσιo του προγράμματος “FACTS: Από εναλλακτικά αφηγήματα σε πραγματικές ιστορίες πολιτών της ΕΕ”. Στη διαβούλευση συμμετείχαν 25 κινητοποιημένοι και μη πολίτες οι οποίοι, με την καθοδήγηση ερευνητών κλήθηκαν να εκφράσουν τις σκέψεις τους έναντι του παραδοσιακού αφηγήματος ειρήνης και ευημερίας που προβάλλει η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Σκοπός της διαβούλευσης ήταν ο εντοπισμός των λανθασμένων αφηγημάτων και ψευδών ειδήσεων για θέματα που αφορούν την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Στη διάρκεια της διαβούλευσης, οι πολίτες κατέληξαν σε κοινά συμπεράσματα, αιτήματα και προτάσεις που σε επόμενο στάδιο, θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να συζητήσουν με μέλη των εθνικών και του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου.
