Event report available
The project “La CoFe pour tous en Occitanie” is run by ADRET — Europe Direct Pyrénées and is funded by the Representation of the European Commission in France through a call for projects (COMM/PAR/2020/01: Actions and events in France on the EU). In order to reach many young people, ADRET — Europe Direct Pyrenees, drawing on the Europe Direct Centres in the Occitanie region and other European networks, proposes a series entitled “Anim'COFE” which combines an interactive information time followed by an exchange time and contributions on the theme(s) chosen by the young people themselves according to their interests. This format is aimed in particular at young people 15-30 years of age with fewer opportunities. The local missions, the regional schools of the 2nd chance, the Maisons des Jeunes et de la Culture or any other structure welcoming and/or accompanying young people can ask us by email to host an exchange time until the end of 2021. This animation is organised by the Association AFEV (Association de la Fondation Étudiante pour la Ville) with two different groups.

Event report
Type of event: Participatory workshop with quiz, presentation, reflection on the future of Europe. Number of participants and profiles: 15 participants aged between 16 and 25 years of voluntary Perpignan in civic service within AFEV Gender: Mixed General Ambiance: Very cordial, the introductory quiz allowed participants to get involved in the process. The contributions to the Conference emerged in a second phase. Ideas expressed by young people: Continue efforts to combat ignorance and corruption in justice in a comprehensive way within the EU27 (disparities between Member States on these issues). Police and justice in Europe should be better trained on issues related to gender, race, gender, disability discrimination... Why not set up commissions with people trained on these issues and add members of civil society. Europe must step up its efforts to facilitate the voice of victims and not wait for femicides/serious accidents to arrive to act. Other ideas on the theme of migration: Receive migrants on a pro rata basis from the Member States of the European Union (depending on each’s reception availability). Create more medical and social structures with social workers, health professionals to inform migrants about their rights, help them integrate into the socio-professional environment of the country, and facilitate learning about the language and culture of the host country (health examination upon arrival).
