On the day of the kick-off of the Conference on the Future of Europe we invite citizens, civil society and EU leaders to reflect on critical insights from two surveys on citizens’ participation in the EU and to discuss the next steps to take.
1/ The event starts with our consultation “Your voice on the future of Europe” launched by CTOE among civil society, asking active citizens about their sentiments, visions and preferred engagement modes with the future of Europe
2/ Then, regarding the European Citizens Initiative, we present findings from a new survey run by YouGov to explore citizens’ awareness of the ECI, including a briefing on the impacts of the ECI’s and policy recommendations.
3/ The CTOE Panel “European civil society meets up with CoFoE”, will discuss critical issues and creative ideas in reaction to how the Conference has organised its platform, citizens panels and plenary.
