Title: "Conference to celebrate the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU" Date: 17/09/21 Time: 12.00 - 13.00 Participants: 6 people online – coming from: France, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia + in presence people in Novo Mesto Overview: ALDA organised, in collaboration with the Municipality of Novo Mesto, within the framework of the Week of Culture of Novo Mesto, a special conference meeting to welcome the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2021 The group discussed on the challenges related to the topic, among them: The opportunities of the platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe, taking into consideration the key role of citizens in shaping the future of the Union The potential of developing projects targeting the recent history of the European Union, its past challenges and future perspectives, as well the challenges posed by information flows on European issues. Similarly a project on strengthening the integration of students with migrant background in schools, prevent early school leaving as been presented. Ideas that emerged: Creation of a brand new online course for teachers (e.g. promotion of Whole School Approach) Focusing on data and research to further develop framework models to then share it with civil society, professional etc
