A lecture on “The History and Future of the EU in the context of the Conference on the Future of the EU” for the students of the Levice Gymnasia took place to raise awareness among the young generation of participatory citizenship of the European Union. There was a strong emphasis on the understanding of democratic principles and the co-responsibility of every EU citizen. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the EU institutions, their structure, competences and decision-making. An integral part of the lecture was the presentation of the new platform “Conferences on the Future of the EU”, through which every EU citizen has the right to express their views and ideas for the next direction of the EU.
